Potential climate/ disaster impacts addressed by approach & Justification for approach:
Local Governments allocate negligible amount of budget for disaster preparedness and response. As a result, Local Governments are hard hit whenever there is a disaster. In order to overcome this situation, the idea of a Local Emergency Operation Center (LEOC) emerged. These LEOC have connection with the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC). LEOC receive support from NEOC whenever there is need.
Process of Implementation:
The ideas of establishing LEOCs and preparing LDCRPs were shared with Local Governments. National frameworks were developed that guide the development of LEOC and LDCRP. Experts supported the establishment of LEOC and the preparation of LDCRP following the standard national framework.
