Potential climate/ disaster impacts addressed by approach & Justification for approach:
Similarly, the disaster risk reduction sector is not properly included while preparing the local government budget. Thus, to identify the priorities in disaster preparedness, a Local Disaster and Climate Resilience Plan (LDCRP) was prepared. Afterwards sectors and activities highlighted in LDCRP are included in the annual planning and budget formulation process
Process of Implementation:
The idea of LEOC establishment and LDCRP preparation was shared with Local Governments. In fact, there is national framework that guides for LEOC and LDCRP preparation. Local Governments were ready for the cost sharing for setting up the process. Experts were mobilized for the establishment of LEOC and preparation of LDCRP following the standard national framework.
